de zuid

De Zuid makes alt-rock with a blues backbone and no spare parts.
Shannon Lake sings with sandpaper and plays the lines that cut the mix. Manuel Teijeiro answers with rust-toned riffs and hooks. Michel de Groot holds the floor. Nicola Maisano pushes forward, straight and heavy.

The references are there if you want them, The Stone Foxes, The Raconteurs, The Cold Stares, but the songs are theirs: verses that smolder, choruses you can shout back, space so the groove can breathe.

It is rock cut to tone, timing and melody. Lived-in, not dressed up.

Three years of writing and recording got them here. Songs for Others came out in September 2025. Dancing With My Demons followed. The next step is the stage: cafés, clubs, festivals. The material is built for that.
